How to stay creative? Let’s defuse the stress bomb!

Having a fixed schedule, the same type of work, and sorted times can sometimes make you feel unproductive or out of ideas. Many writers, designers, and other creative artists often experience a block in their ideas which can be through any external circumstances or unavailability of something new in the surroundings.

Here are some tips for staying creative.

Change of Space

Confiding in a single physical space can make you lose interest in things. So to avoid that make a change of space.

– Work in a library or a café
– Take some unscheduled walk
– Visit some new places in your surrounding once a week

Keeping a pocket-sized idea Journal

Ideas can come anywhere. Inspirations can hit you anytime. Always try to keep a pocket-sized journal and a pen with you when you go out or near your bed to note some interesting dreams. Record the idea when it is still fresh.

Experiment

Great things come from experimentation. If you have time, always try something new with your projects. Don’t be afraid of what other people will think just consider it for your own self and get going. Give it a whirl.

Quit beating yourself up

Don’t force it. Ideas come naturally. You can set up an environment, and wait for inspiration but if you keep stressing about the amount of work you need to do, you’ll never be able to finish it. Believe in yourself and don’t push too hard.

Stop trying to be someone else’s perfect

The world is different for everyone. You can’t please everyone. Your work should be thoroughly thought out and should be good for you so that you can take a stand for your work. Sometimes trying to impress others with the work might end up with you losing your style or interest.

Meet new people

Meeting new people gives you a new perspective and many new ideas. Talk with a stranger on the street or in a public transport vehicle or make a friendly talk with persons waiting at the bus stop. Do not hesitate. Initiate the conversation and it’s done.
